At least 16 houses were damaged in two villages in Anamaduwa due to heavy winds, Divisional Secretary Deepika Chandani said.
Some of the roofs were blown off 200 meters away while household goods and furniture too were damaged.
Several teak trees too were uprooted due to the blowing.
The Thonigala and Paramakanda villages were affected due to the heavy blowing.
