Showers or thundershowers are predicted for most of the island today (30) after 2:00 pm, the Department of Meteorology said.
Moderately heavy rainfall over 75mm is possible in a few localities.
A few showers are due in Eastern and Uva Provinces along with Kandy District.
Occasional showers or thundershowers are expected in Eastern and Uva Provinces and in Polonnaruwa, Matale, Nuwara-Eliya and Hambantota Districts.
High winds of 30-40 KMPH are foreseen in Northern, North-central, North-western, Eastern, Uva and Southern Provinces as well as on Eastern slopes of central hills.
Parts of Sabaragamuwa and Western Provinces will have misty mornings.
