Due to the inclement weather prevailing in the Western slopes of the Central hills presently, the Hatton-Colombo and Hatton-Nuwara Eliya main roads are experiencing heavy mist conditions on and off.
Police have warned drivers to have vehicle front lights on when going through these misty areas and to be extra vigilant to avoid accidents.

Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
