School students, office employees, and even tourists were touched at the sight of a group consisting of hundred novice monks from the Gangaramaya temple engaged on a pindapatha charika (alms-receiving walk) holding onto their bowls.
Many came forward to fill the bowls with treats, food and snacks as the novice monks walked on the busy streets of Colombo amidst rainy weather.
