The writ petition filed on behalf of former Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella is scheduled to be considered further on July 1st, keepong with an order from the Court of Appeal.
In his appeal, Rambukwella aims to overturn the Maligakanda Magistrate's Court's decision to place him in remand custody until the trial on the acquisition of subpar human intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) vials is over.
The facts were provided to the court by Deputy Solicitor General Nirmalan Wigneswaran on behalf of the Attorney General when the case was called for consideration today, July 27.
