A total of 13 KGs of Kush and Hashish narcotics with a street value of more than Rs 150 million sent by Express Mail Service has been detected at the Colombo Central Mail Exchange, Customs officials said.
A total of 14 parcels sent from US, UK and Spain to local addresses in Negombo, Kandana, Kataragama, Ganemulla, Malabe and Colombo.had been scanned as they were suspicious and 12 of them were found to be carrying narcotics.
The Customs officials detected 12.6 Kgs of Kush and 1.8 Kgs of Hashish.
Further investigations are underway.
