Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara stated that they will be reducing the number of women leaving the country for foreign employment as housemaids.
This decision was taken to improve their skills and send them to better jobs with a better future, he said.
Further, the government hopes to provide women with a skill so that they can apply for more quality jobs with higher pay and a secure future.
