The Education Ministry has instructed school principals not to hold any functions or events at schools considering the current Covid-19 pandemic situation in the country.
Issuing a circular, Secretary to the Education Ministry Prof Kapila
Perera said that the Ministry came to know that some schools are planning to hold such events after the schools were reopened after months last month.
Indicating that school principals and administrators should behave responsibly and strictly implement COVID-19 guidelines in order to ensure the safety of the school students and the community during the pandemic situation, Prof Perera urged not to hold any such activities until further notice issued by the Ministry.
