TANGALLE: 46 year old arrested for a shooting incident on June 5.
WATTALA: Two arrested for possession of a live bomb and 5.2g, and 6g 5mg of heroin each.
KANDY: 57 year old killed in a car accident at Seminar junction.
KOHUWALA: 58 year old killed in a car accident near 1st post of Saranankara road.
NIKAWERATIYA: Five children admitted to hospital over a bee attack at Tambulla central college.

Former President’s Secretary Saman Ekanayake was today remanded until February 11 by the Fort Magistrate in relation to the case where former President Ranil Wickremesinghe is alleged to have misused Rs. 16.6 million in state funds during a visit to the UK to attend his wife’s graduation ceremony at the University of Wolverhampton.
