The Cabinet of ministers approved to present the Ban on Obscene Publications Bill in Parliament on 05.10.2021 and the Attorney General has cleared the draft prepared by the legal draftsman to repeal Sections 285, 286 and 289(a) of the Penal Code in line with the the new law.
Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Justice to publish the said bill in the Government Gazette and thereafter, present the same in Parliament, was approved by the Cabinet.
