President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has appointed a commission to investigate and submit recommendations on improving the productivity of the Sri Lanka Customs.
The Commission will be headed by Supreme Court judge Shiran Gunaratne. The other members are Court of Appeal Judges Priyantha Fernando and Damith Thotawatta, Deputy Governor Central Bank K.M.M.Siriwardena, Senior Consultant (Trade) Dr Sanath Jayaneththi and former Additional Director Customs P.A. Dias.
The Commission has been entrusted to submit recommendations on minimizing corruption and improving efficiency
