The Principals' Union staged a protest in front of the Education Ministry premises in Battaramulla today. Heavy traffic prevailed in Battaramulla and adjoining areas due to the protest.
The union said the protest was against the Ministry’s alleged move to recruit principals against the recommended procedure, irregularities in salary circular, decision to make the Principal’s Service a closed service and failing to implement recommendations made by the ministerial subcommittee.
