The proposed CEB tariff revision, due to come into effect next month will be submitted to the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) this week, Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekara said.
Minister Wijesekara in a X (formerly twitter) message said that a discussion was held with the CEB tariff division yesterday to finalize the electricity consumer tariff revision proposal.
He said the Government made a policy decision last year to implement a cost reflective tariff mechanism and that the tariffs will be revised quarterly every year.
‘Accordingly the July tariff proposal will be submitted to the PUCSL this week,’ he added.
