The police have commenced investigations with regard to two women who swindled money on the promise of opportunities for employment in Qatar.
The 31-year-old suspects have been identified as residents of Kytes.
Police Media Division reported that the two women at issue have defrauded Rs. 600,000 giving the word of providing employment in Qatar.
The complainant has credited money to the suspects’ bank accounts in a number of instances, forwarded his passport to them, the police said.
Mannar Police is conducting further investigations to arrest the suspected women.
