The remains of Mr. Onesh Subasinghe, a 41-year-old Sri Lankan millionaire businessman who was found dead in a hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia was sent to the Katunayake Airport after eight months, today (August 3).
This businessman left for a trip to Indonesia with his four-year-old daughter, his Brazilian wife Rosa and her friend on January 17 of this year.
Since the phone calls from his sister in Colombo had gone unanswered the sister informed the hotel to investigate. The hotel employees, who acted accordingly, found the body of this businessman who was dead in the room where they were staying.
The body is currently kept in the mortuary of the Negombo General Hospital and under the instructions and supervision of Katunayake Airport Police Chief Inspector Malcolm Peth, a group of officers are carrying out further investigations.
