The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it is closely monitoring the war situation in Sudan amidst an ongoing conflict situation between the government troops and various military outfits, the Ministry said.
" The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Cairo which is accredited to the Republic of the Sudan is closely
monitoring the evolving situation in the Sudan. The Embassy is in regular contact with the Sri
Lankan nationals in Khartoum and its suburbs and has advised them regarding their safety," a statement from the Ministry said.
