The Special Task Force (STF) has arrested a suspect in the Wariyapola area with heroin and cash amounting to Rs. 384, 000 suspected to have been obtained through heroin trafficking.
STF personnel arrested the 24-year-old suspect from the Minuwangate area with 85.2 grams of heroin, tools used to store the drugs and cash amounting to Rs. 384, 000.
The STF also arrested a 32-year-old woman, also in the Minuwangate area, with 16.4 grams of heroin and tools used to store the drugs. Additionally, a 51-year-old suspect was arrested from Wariyapola town on charges of trafficking heroin. He had 6. 7 grams of heroin in his possession at the time of his arrest.
All three suspects have been handed over to the Wariyapola Police for further investigations.
