Showers or thundershowers are to occur at several places in Ratnapura and Kalutara districts during day and night, the Meteorology Department said.
Light showers will occur in Eastern and Uva provinces and in Polonnaruwa and Matale districts today, the Department said.
Nevertheless, mostly fair weather will prevail around.
Misty conditions can be anticipated at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces during the morning.
A few showers will occur in the sea area widening from Pottuvil to Trincomalee via Batticaloa. Mainly fair weather will prevail over the sea areas off the coast extending from Mannar to Colombo via Puttalam and in sea areas off the coast extending from Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota.
Hence, the sea areas off the coast extending from Mannar to Colombo via Puttalam and from Galle to Pottuvil via Hambanthota will be moderately rough at times, the Department added.

A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
