Striking railway engine drivers told to report to duty immediately: Railways Dept.

News

The 84 train drivers currently on strike are requested to report to duty with immediate effect, the Railways Department said.

As services related to railways have been declared as essential, the drivers on strike will be considered as employees who have vacated their posts, the Department said, adding that letters will be sent to striking locomotive operating engineers in due course.
