The suspect involved in the shooting incident in the Hulftsdorp Magistrate court complex today morning has been arrested in Palaviya, Police said.
The suspect was arrested at a STF check point today evening.
He was travelling in a van at the time of the arrest and was in possession of a forged Lawyers Identity card.
An underworld gang leader Ganemulla Sanjeewa was killed in the shooting incident in the morning.
Police Spokesman SSP Buddika Manatunga said the suspect arrested was identified as 34-year-old Mohamed Azman Sheriffdeen. He is a former soldier of the Commando Regiment.
