Additional Secretary to Ministry of Justice arrested by Bribery Commission gets bail
An Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Justice, Sepalika Samankumari who earlier served as the Acting Director General of the Office for Reparations, was arrested by the Bribery Commission on charges of corruption and criminal misappropriation of funds and later was given bail by the courts.

Mattala Airport Tax Concession extended to June 2027

Bus fares can be paid through Bank cards
Commuters will be able to pay bus fares using a credit card or debit card on buses equipped with ticket-issuing machines which will take effect from November 30, according to the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation Bimal Rathnayake.

Hungama murder suspects arrested and remanded
The four suspects arrested were produced before the Agunukolapelessa Magistrate’s Court by officers of the Hungama Police were remanded until October 22 for their alleged involvement in a double murder that took place in Wadigala, Hungama.
