Under the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) assistance, a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) was given to the University of Jaffna to increase the COVID-19 testing facility in the region.
Ambassador Alaina B. Teplitz formally handed over the PCR testing machine to Vice Chancellor of University of Jaffna Prof S. Srisatkunarajah yesterday.
"To help increase COVID-19 testing in the north, I presented a new PCR testing machine to Jaffna University. The American people are proud to support Sri Lanka's response to COVID-19. #TogetherWeCan"
Ambassador Teplitz tweeted about the ceremony.
