The four Sathosa officials who were arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in connection with the "Garlic Scam" have been remanded in custody till October 14 by the Welisara Magistrate's Court.
The three male and one female suspect, who were arrested yesterday, were produced before the Welisara Magistrate's Court this afternoon.
Police said the female suspect served as Deputy General Manager (Procurement) at Lanka Sathosa Ltd. while one male suspect was the Senior Supplies Manager at Sathosa. The two other suspects had worked as Wholesale Outlet Managers at the Sathosa warehouse in Welisara.
