Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari, Chief of the Air Staff of Indian Air Force called on the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, this morning (2) at Air Force Headquarters.
The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) was received upon arrival by the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Colombo, Air Commodore Suresh Fernando and was afforded a Guard of Honour which was conferred by the Colour Squadron of the SLAF, the Air Force said in a statement.
The Indian Air Chief is currently visiting Sri Lanka on the invitation of the Commander of Sri Lanka Air Force that aims to facilitate discussions on the development of cooperation between regional air forces, joint training, technical knowledge exchange and expansion of maritime surveillance operations.
Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari also met with the Chief of the Staff and the Air Force Board of Management after which official plaques were exchanged between the two Air Chiefs at the Commander’s Office.
The delegation was comprised with Principle Director Operations (Space) Air Commodore S Bedi, Director (Strategy) Group Captain SS Desai, Staff Officer to the CAS Group Captain LK Mishra along with the Defence Advisor of Indian High Commission Captain VikasSood.
