Water supply disrupted in parts of Gampaha and Ampara today

A 10-hour water cut will be imposed today (26) in several parts of the Gampaha district, says the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB).

Hence, the areas affected by the water cut are, Pugoda, Kiridiwela, Ranpokunagama housing scheme, Wathupitiwala, Maimbula, Maduwegedara, Urapola and Attanagalla.

The water supply of said areas will be in effect no later than 10 hours from 8.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. today, owing to an essential maintenance process carried out on the supply systems of Ranpokunagama and Kirindiwela.

Concurrently, the NWSDB further mentioned that the water supply for many parts of the Ampara district will be disrupted for 9 hours between 4.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. today (26) attributed to urgent maintenance tasks at the Akkaraipattu water supply system.

On that account, Akkaraipattu, Irakkamam, Addalachchenai, Oluvil and Palamunai areas will be responsive to the scheduled water cut.
