The Supreme Lanka Coalition (Uttara Lanka Sabhagaya) led by Wimal Weerawansa today released its 12 point plan hoping to obtain support of all political parties for the programme.
The plan was released at an event of coalition at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.
The 12 point plan:
*Strengthening the rupee and controlling the black-market on foreign exchange.
*Protecting the livelihoods of the low income groups –
*Ensuring continued supply of essential food items and maintaining price stability.
*Prevent the breakdown local food production.
*Guaranteed supply of foreign exchange for the imports of essential food items
*Change of the economic model ensuing economic growth by protecting small scale producers . unemployed and the under employed.
*Ensuring food security of the nation.
*Ensuring Energy Security.
*Implementing a proper tax structure.
*Instead of depending on the IMF to discuss with friendly countries about debt restructuring.
* Preventing the sale of national assets in the guise of a crisis.

What a joke. What is the plan to achive all these plans. Its so easy to be making statements like this but unless those proposing such plans support with a published plan as to how they are going to achieve them and a transparewnt income and expenditure - what a joke.
Whom are they trying to hoodwink ? Do they have Alladin's Wonderful Lamp to fulfil those proposals?
