One thousand six hundred youth from Jaffna joined the military in the last three months, Army Commander General Shavendra Silva said.
He made this comments when he met the Northern Province tri-forces Commanders at the Palaly Military headquarters during a visit to Jaffna on Monday (12).
"This is recognition for the commitment of the troops", the Army Commander said.
