Siyam City, a leading cement producer in Thailand expressed its interest to make new investments in the cement factories in Puttlam and Galle.
This was conveyed when a group of leading representatives of the company, headed by the Chief Executive Siva Mahasandana met President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday at the Presidential Secretariat.
The representatives commended the economic progress achieved by Sri Lanka. They also stated that Sri Lanka is now a very proper country for investments. “Our company is interested in making more investments in Sri Lanka in the future”, they said.
President Sirisena made the company representatives knowledgeable about the new investment opportunities in Sri Lanka. The Thai Ambassador in Sri Lanka also participated in this discussion.
