Acceptance of applications for postal voting for the General Election will end at midnight today, Government Information Department said. Elections Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya said that the date of acceptance of postal voting applications will not be further extended for any reason. He further said that the completed applications should be handed over to the Elections Secretariat at Rajagiriya or to the closest District Elections offices and applications received by hand or by post after the deadline will be rejected.
