The United National Party (UNP) will take action against UNPers who attend the rally of UNP Deputy Leader Minister Sajith Premadasa in Kurunegala today (Sept 5).
A senior party official said that attending the rally could possibly lead to the cancellation of their party membership.
The event has been organised by State Minister Ashok Abeysinghe in a bid to nominate Mr. Premadasa as the UNP's candidate at the upcoming Presidential polls.
Mr. Abeysinghe said that the rally which would commence at 2:30 pm is expected to be attended by 24 UNP Parliamentarians.
