Former Navy Commander Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda has left the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) after nearly eight hours of questioning.
Admiral Karannagoda had arrived in the morning to record a statement and had been at the CID office from 9 am until 5 pm. He was questioned regarding the case pertaining to the abduction of youths in 2008/09.
Meanwhile, an order was issued on the former Navy commander to produce himself before the CID on Wednesday for further questioning.
The CID on a previous occasion had informed court that ample evidence was available to arrest Mr. Karannagoda in connection with the abductions case.
