Anura Senanayake and Sumith Perera further remanded

Former DIG Anura Senanayake and former Crime OIC of the Narahenpita Police Sumith Perera, were today remanded in custody till July 7.

The two were remanded in custody by the Colombo Additional Magistrate after their bail applications were rejected. 

Both had been arrested by the CID for allegedly concealing information regarding the murder of former rugby player Wasim Thajudeen.
