The Democratic United National Front has made its cash deposit to put forward its Secretary Ariyawansa Dissanayake as their presidential candidate.
The Elections Secretariat said that the cash deposit had been made yesterday (Sept 25).
Accordingly, seven candidates so far have made their cash deposits in a bid to contest the upcoming election on November 16.
Of them four are from recognised political parties while three are Independent Parties.
According to the polls body, a political candidate is required to make a deposit of Rs 50,000 while an independent candidate should make a deposit of Rs 75,000.
Candidates can place their cash bond before October 6.
