The Commission of Inquiry (CoI) investigating the Treasury Bond issue has served summons to former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran to appear before the Commission on September 19.
When former owner of Perpetual Treasuries Limited Arjun Aloysius appeared before the court, the Commissioners made an order saying that the commission cannot compel Mr Aloysius to testified before courts while noting its limited mandate.
The Commission informed Counsel for Mr Aloysius, Gamini Marapana PC, to notify to the Commission tomorrow if his client is willing to give evidence.
