An Army Commanding officer of a camp in Matara was remanded today after he was accused of pointing a pistol at a businessmen and threatening him two years back, police said. The suspect, Captain Bharatha Kodithuwakku, CO for the Third Gemunu Watch camp had allegedly committed the offence on February 7, 2013. However, since his brother was the secretary of MP Namal Rajapaksa no arrest had been made. Matara Chief Magistrate Uresha de Silva remanded the suspect until February 23.
