A total of 300 army personnel will be deployed for security in Colombo, Army Spokesman Sumth Atapattu said.
He noted that instructions have been issued to all Divisional Commanders to deploy sufficient army personnel across the country.
The intelligence unit of the Army is also carrying out investigations to arrest the suspects involved in today's tragic incidents.
Meanwhile, the Special Task Force (STF) has also deployed its officers to ensure security in and around religious places of worship, STF authoritative sources told Times Online.
Further, the STF's intelligence unit is also carrying out investigations to apprehend the instigators of today's explosions.
