The government must take steps to further amend the recently revised fines for motor traffic offences except for two categories, bus unions claim.
Accordingly, the unions claimed the revised fines on drunk driving and driving without a license need not be further amended, a bus unionist told a news conference yesterday (Apr 03).
Meanwhile, the prices of bus fares will be increased by four percent if fuel prices are increased by Rs 4 following the fuel price revision on the 10th of this month, General Secretary of the All Island Private Bus Owners Association Anjana Priyanjith said.
