Chandana D. Wickramaratne assumed duties as the 35th Inspector General of Police (IGP) in Sri Lanka.
IGP Wickramaratne took office at the Police Headquarters in Colombo this morning (27), Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said.
Mr Wickramaratne joined Sri Lanka Police Force in 1986 as a probationary Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and is in service for 34 years as at present.
