The cabinet paper seeking approval to give permanency to the staff of the President and the ministers', was withdrawn today (Nov 11).
President Maithripala Sirisena and Home Affairs Minister Vajira Abeywardena had submitted a proposal to this effect.
Among those proposed to be given permanency were staff attached to ministers, non cabinet ministers, state ministers and deputy ministers and the President’s personal staff.
