International School students will be able to apply for their GCE Ordinary and Advanced Level examinations this year through their respective schools, Examinations Commissioner Sanath Pujitha told Times Online.
Last year, the Examinations Department imposed a regulation stating that students applying for the GCE Advanced Level exams will not be able to apply through international schools. The regulation also meant that the Principal's of those respective schools could not certify the application of the student.
However, following the re-implementation of the old rule this year, candidates from international schools will be able to apply for their exams through international schools while Principal's too could certify the applications.
"These forms must be submitted by the schools to the Examinations Department. We would then allocate one examination centre per school," Mr. Pujitha said adding that the forms could be certified by the Principal's and Grama Niladhari officer's as well.
Candidates will have to enter the name and address of their school along with their residential address while submitting the applications, he said.
