The case on the killing of 31 individuals including Major General Janaka Perera has been postponed by Anuradhapura Special High Court until April 05.
This was announced when the case was taken up before Anuradhapura High Court Judge Kema Swarnadipathi yesterday (Feb 14).
Meanwhile, Umar Habbab - the chief suspect in the case was ordered to be further remanded until April 05.
Ms. Swarnadipathi who once served as a former Justice was appointed to hear the case by the Chief Justice due to its importance.
Senior Counsel Sundarshana de Silva and Justice Mahinda Jayawardana who represented the prosecution and accused repectively had requested court to postpone the case following which approval was granted to this effect.
