Chief of Defence Staff Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, who has been remanded on charges of harbouring and aiding the main suspect in the 2008 youth abduction case to flee the country, will be produced before court today.
Mr Wijegunaratne surrendered before Court on November 28. The Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court previously ordered the arrest of Admiral Wijegunaratne after the CID, informed Court that there was sufficient evidence against the Chief of Defence Staff.
