The Chief Operations Officer of the Pelawatta Sugar factory was arrested with four walkie-talkies, a shirt belonging to the ministerial security division, and seven police gloves today (May 08).
The suspect was arrested after employees at the factory had provided a tip-off to the Police and the Special Task Force (STF) regarding the Officer who was behaving in a suspicious manner.
The driver of the Chief Operations Officer and another factory worker were also taken into custody, Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said.
