Two top Chinese banks today strongly defended the lending rates to Sri Lanka. Officials of the China Development Bank Exim made their position clear when they met Sri Lankan journlaists visiting Beijing. Respresentatives of China Development Bank and Exim Bank made the comments ahead of President Maithripala Sirisena's visit. Deputy Director General Jin Tao of the CDB said the original agreements will remain. He was responding to questions on whether they were willing to renegotiate loans to Sri Lanka.
