Chinese Navy's 'Ark Peace' to provide free medical care for Sri Lankans

The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy’s most advanced hospital ship 'Ark Peace'  will pay a visit to Sri Lanka from August 6 to 9 as part of its "Mission Harmony 2017."  The ship will provide medical services to the Sri Lankan Public free of charge on August 8.

Since her commission, 'Ark Peace' has sailed altogether 170,000 nautical miles for over 13,000 hours, visited 29 countries covering three oceans and five continents and provided medical service to over 120,000 people overseas.

The welcoming ceremony for 'Ark Peace' will commence at 10.00am on August 6 and ship will be open to the public in the afternoon on  August 6. The medical services will be provided to Sri Lankans from 9.00am to 11.30am and from 3.00pm to 5.30pm on August 8.
