Four Sri Lankan nationals who maintained direct links with the ISIS terrorist group were arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) yesterday (May 14).
The suspects were apprehended during a search operation which is being carried out since the Easter Sunday attacks in the country.
According to the CID, the suspects had acted as communicators between the group which carried out the suicide bombings and the ISIS terrorist group.
They had utilised a special mobile app for communication purposes, CID sources told Times Online.
The four individuals are currently being held under the custody of the Terrorism Investigation Division.
