The Ministry of Community Empowerment and Estate Infrastructure Development opened a Community Centre in Nuwara Eliya yesterday (Jan 6).
The facility, located on the fourth floor of the Nuwara Eliya District Secretariat, was declared opened by Ceylon Workers Congress leader Arumugam Thondaman.
D.P.G.Kumarasiri the Secretary to the Ministry of Community Empowerment and Estate Infrastructure Development was in attendance during the event.
The Chairmen of the Nuwara Eliya and Kotagala Pradeshiya Sabhas and former Nuwara Eliya district parliamentarian Perumal Rajathurai were also present at the occasion.
