Lawyers for Democracy (LfD) has said that the crisis in the country today is the result of a greed for power between two parties.
Attorney Harshana Nanayakkara, addressing the media yesterday (Nov 12) said that the constitution is used by politicians as "toilet paper" to erase their dirty deeds.
He also noted that Ranil Wickremesinghe must be sent home as he acted against the mandate that the people voted for in 2015.
However, he stressed that it should have be done in a democratic manner
Furthermore, Attorney Nanayakkara condemned the actions of President Maithripala Sirisena by calling them "unlawful, unconstitutional, illegal and above all indescent"
On behalf of the LfD he urged the public to leave aside party politics and avoid sending corrupt politicians to the Parliament.
