The total number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Sri Lanka has increased to 190 today with one more person tested positive while 257 persons are under observation at National Institute of Infectious Diseases (IDH), Health Promotion Bureau of Health Ministry said.
According to the Epidemiology unit statistics, 49 persons recovered and discharged from IDH while 134 active patients are currently admitted to the special ward. Seven patients died due to COVID-19 while another Chinese tourist who was identified in January left the country after fully recovered. 242 individuals are currently under investigations in hospitals.
