The confirmed death toll due to the adverse weather conditions has risen to 202, the Disasater Management Center (DMC) said. According to the DMC's situation report released at 9.00am today, a further 96 people are still reported missing. Another 63 persons have been injured.
The number of houses which have been destroyed due to the disaster has also gone past 1500, with 1505 houses classified as being fully damaged. A further 7617 houses have suffered partial damage.
According to the DMC, 629, 742 persons from 163, 701 families have been affected by the disaster. A total of 77, 432 persons from 19, 784 families are displaced. They are being cared for at 366 welfare camps.
